A naïve young Englishman travels across Europe to visit an important prospective client in the remote Carpathian mountains of Transylvania.
On the way there his coach throws a wheel and he's stranded at a remote village inn, which upsets his schedule — until the enigmatic Count Nikola introduces himself and offers him a ride to his destination. The traveler accepts this generous offer and marvels at the kindness of strangers, even when they are foreigners.
Count Nikola and his muscular manservant have a strange yet pleasing effect upon the traveler, who has never before thought of men in this manner. He happily agrees to spend the night in Count Nikola's castle before continuing on in the morning. But he receives more than he bargained for when his inhibitions slip completely and the rugged manservant takes his virginity — oh how he takes it! — and then Count Nikola shows him what the love of a man feels like.
But as the night goes on and Count Nikola's affinity for blood and death are revealed, the English traveler must quickly make other plans, which involve rescuing a peasant girl from the castle and escaping with her into the night — knowing the forest is infested with savage wolves who only obey Count Nikola's will.
TAKEN BY A TRANSYLVANIAN WOLF-MAN is a 13800-word novelette, perhaps ideal for a short train or coach journey.

“Do you not close the castle gates at night?”
“Wolves cannot enter keep.”
I supposed he meant the inhabited parts of the castle. This fact alone was cause for celebration. “Thank you, that is good to know.”
“You need anything else?”
I was aware of his close proximity, of his manliness. He wore his own earthy scent like a cologne. I wanted to push my face into his armpit and inhale deeply. We were alone. He stood at the threshold to my bedroom. Directly behind me was the four-poster bed. My lower regions experienced a warm swelling. It occurred to me that if he were to lift me up with his thick arms and carry me to the bed and ravage me as I wanted him to, no one would ever know.
Guilt touched me then, guilt at the thought of betraying my fiancé’s trust in me, yet every part of me ached for Grigor, every part of me desired him. I could see by the gleam in his eyes that he knew this. His lips curved into the makings of a smile. My fumbling fingers released the buttons of my jacket, which I shrugged off and threw onto the bed. I took a step back, wordlessly inviting Grigor to enter. For a moment I doubted whether he would—but then he did indeed step towards me. He closed the door behind him, letting the latch down with a satisfying click. While I unbuttoned my shirt, Grigor’s fingers unfastened my belt buckle and then began to unbutton my trouser flies. Blood rushed in my ears like a waterfall. Thinking became impossible. Could this really be happening?

A good short story of a man who falls for 2 handsome men until he finds out their secret. He helps a young woman escape and goes to meet his client. This is a good supernatural story with some very hot scenes. I am disappointed in how it ended, because I wish there will be more to the story. Currently if its a standalone, there really is no romance, there is not a 100% clear view of who the villains truly are. So I hope the author continues this story where we get to meet Jonathan's client and deal with the dilemma involving the wolves and the 2 men that made Johnathan go back on his promise to his fiancé.
